Socially Responsible Investing
‘Evolutionary, not Revolutionary’
Our Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) Service provides multi-asset discretionary portfolio options and a range of model portfolio strategies designed to meet what we call a dual objective:
- achieving a client’s target investment return;
- whilst at the same time enabling them to create a positive societal impact through the investments they hold.
Psigma’s SRI investment solutions play to our strengths with an approach that has grown organically out of our existing multi-asset expertise and inflation-plus philosophy. This is based on many years’ experience helping investors to achieve their financial goals through a comprehensive range of investment portfolios.
Getting to grips with Socially Responsible Investing (SRI)
The increasing focus on Socially Responsible Investing is being driven by growing investor concern about climate change and the societal impact of their investments. This comes with the realisation by both companies and governments that they need take a lead in transitioning from a depletion-based economy, to one which is sustainable and forward-thinking.
The focus on SRI is becoming more mainstream, and as a result, there is a growing need for adaptation, greater awareness by the investment industry and the way it is regulated.
To help you deepen your understanding of SRI, how it is evolving and, in particular, to have more informed conversations with your clients, Psigma is providing a range of communications and ongoing support around this topic.

SRI Framework - The Four Elements of SRI
The SRI framework dictates the selection of the underlying funds, the four elements of SRI that we assess when selecting the underlying assets are; ESG integration, Sustainable and Impact investing and Engagement.
Specialists, not generalists
With improvements in the release of corporate information relating to environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues, access to the data necessary to enable good due diligence has become easier.
That said, it is imperative to have access to expert interpretation of this data in order to perform the additional financial analysis required to assess SRI compliance and sustainability.
We have a strong track record in identifying and working with investment managers who are specialists in their field.
Our investment process means that we can seek out the right funds and mandates to enable us to deliver long-term returns aligned to the four pillars of SRI.
